An Ancient Grain. A Modern Mission.

Some of the best discoveries don't start in a state-of-the-art laboratory. Sometimes, they start in a shoebox.

In the 1990s, a team of CSIRO scientists were sifting through a collection of around 100 barley varieties when they came across one that stopped them in their tracks: Himalaya 292. Low GI. High fibre. Naturally rich in beta-glucan. It wasn't engineered or modified — just nature hiding something extraordinary in plain sight. Through traditional plant breeding, that
forgotten grain became BARLEYMAX.

At the same time, another CSIRO team had been sounding the alarm:

Australians weren't eating enough fibre, and the consequences — bowel cancer, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes — were showing up in the data. When the two programs met, the answer had been sitting in that shoebox all along.

Ancient wisdom, backed by modern science.

BARLEYMAX contains twice the dietary fibre of regular wholegrains, four times the resistant starch, and is naturally rich in beta-glucan — clinically shown to support heart health and lower cholesterol. It's not a trend. It's the result of decades of rigorous Australian research.

We built Elevate Food Co. on this grain because we believe the most powerful nutrition doesn't need to be complicated. A grain that sustained human civilisation for millennia, rediscovered by Australian scientists, and delivered to your bowl every morning.

One shoebox. One ancient grain. One daily habit - just three tablespoons per day.

One very good reason to elevate your breakfast.
